Abbreviated bio taken from the book "The Genealogical History of Descendants of Adam and Elizabeth Dickey" published in 1935 by Richard Sawyer Currier pages 61-63:

"Adam Dickey, the 6th and youngest child of Adam and Elizabeth (MacPherson) Dickey, on March 13, 1777, at Merrimack, NH was married to Jennett or Jane Nesmith. They had the following children born in Francestown, NH and Topsham, VT:

Robert Dickey b. June 26, 1778 d. Nov. 4, 1864
James Dickey b. 1780, d. March 4, 1860
Adam Dickey b. Feb 9, 1782, d. July 5, 1851
Jennie Dickey b. August 30, 1784 d. March 30, 1866
Margaret Nesmith Dickey b. July 3, 1786, d. Aug 6, 1866
Elizabeth Dickey b. March 7, 1789.
Mary Rogers Dickey b. April 17, 1792
John Neil Dickey b. Dec 4, 1795 d. August 4, 1814
Esther Dickey b. March 27, 1798, d. Sept 3, 1874
Joseph Dickey b. June 10, 1800, d. May 10, 1875.

I have not been able to trace the mother of Adam Dickey after she disposed of the old home in Chester, and it is not known whether her son passed his childhood with her or with other members of the family. The first we learn of him after reaching maturity, was when he was a taxpayer and citizen of Francestown in 1771.

The History of Francestown, NH has this to say about him: 'Adam Dickey, brother of William Dickey is said to have lived on the place next above John G. Morse's. However, he could not have remained here (Francestown) long since he was an early settler of Topsham, Vermont.'"
