Miland Charles (M.C.) Knight 1923 ~ 2006 Miland Charles (M.C.) Knight, 83, passed away in Salt Lake City, November 15, 2006 surrounded by family and loved ones. M.C was born in Salt Lake City, UT, July 3, 1923 to Warren and Ethyl Knight. He graduated from South High School in 1940 and served as a mechanic in the Army at Pearl Harbor during World War II. After the war, M.C. married Lois Timothy on July 3, 1946, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple July 3, 1953. M.C. was a talented mechanic and owner of multiple businesses, lived in Vernal for the last 30 years of his life and enjoyed boating, travel, camping, and fishing with family and friends. A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was an example of faith to all that knew him and had a deep love of the gospel. Preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife, it was surely a joyous reunion as they welcomed him home. M.C. is survived by five children: Claudia Wilson of Salt Lake, Linda Spendlove (Jeff) of Slidell, LA, Carolyn Knight of Salt Lake, Craig Knight of Vernal, and Sharlene Watson (Rick) of Salt Lake. With 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandson, Miland's legacy of hard work, generosity, and a warm heart lives on. A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18 at the Maeser Stake Center 2745 W. 1000 N. Maeser. Funeral services will follow at 2:00. Interment will be at the Maeser Cemetery.
