SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR MRS. JENNIE CAHILL
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27 for Mrs. Jennie Cahill, 68, of Janesville who passed away at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. Her final illness followed a stroke, she suffered three weeks ago.
Father W. D. Sullivan officiated at the services at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Janesville. Interment was in the St. Ann's cemetery.
Pallbearers were Art Cunningham, Clarence Jewison, George Jewison, Ray Jewison, Bob Mulcahy and Peter Barden.
The visitation and rosary was at the Arnoldt Funeral Home in Janesville Thursday and Friday.
Jennie Mae Jewison, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jewison was born December 26, 1894 at Janesville. In 1912, she was united in marriage to Patrick Cahill at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Janesvile.
She is survived by five sons, Patrick J. of Franklin, Ind., Raymond of Janesville, Thomas of St. Paul, Joseph of St. Paul, Arthur of St. Louis Park; and daughters, Mrs. Fred (Jane) Powers of St. Peter and Mrs. LeRoy (Ann) Muellerleile of Minneapolis, one brother, Frank Jewison; one sister, Mrs. Alice Mulcahey of Janesville, and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.
Relatives and friends attending the services Saturday were from Minneapolis, St. Paul, Waseca, New Richland, St. Peter, Mankato and Ind.
