Scott W. Bard, 73, of 27 Maple Street, Kistler died Friday, November 5, 1965, at 2:05 p.m. at the Lewistown Hospital where he had been a patient since October 24. He had been in ill health for the past four years.

Born October 17, 1886, at Licking Creek, Huntingdon County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Bard. He was united in marriage to Irma Hendershot on July 12, 1912. His wife preceded him in death on September 9, 1964.

Surviving are four children: Mrs. Ivan (Pearl) Shore, Mount Union R.D.; Mrs. Cora Myers Arthur, Baltimore, Md.; Joseph Bard, Kistler and Mrs. Gracy (Ruth) Coons, Kistler. There are nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
One brother, Calvin Bard of Cleveland, Ohio also survives.

The deceased was of the Protestant faith. He was retired from the North American Refractories Company plant at mount Union.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9, at 2 p.m. from the Clark funeral home, Mount Union. The Rev. Richard Owens will officiate and interment will be in Germany Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock and until the hour of the services on Tuesday.
