Yvette attended Augusta schools and was employed by the Augusta Parking District as a clerk for 19 years, retiring in May of 1997. She was previously employed by the Augusta Police Department as a crossing guard for 14 years.
Yvette was a member of St. Michael Parish at St. Augustine Catholic Church, a member of the American Legion Post 2 Auxiliary and the Elks Lodge.
Her husband, Armand J. Daniel, died on April 23, 1988. She was also predeceased by her parents; by her step-mother, Antoinette (Poulin) Tardiff; two brothers, Gerard Tardiff and Victor Tardiff; a sister, Estelle Nevers; and a stepsister, Lucille Jordan.
Surviving is a daughter, Susan G. Steward, of Manchester; three sons, Armand J. Daniel, Jr. of Norridgewock, Thomas J. Daniel of Augusta and Gary J. Daniel of Gardiner; grandchildren Nicole Daniel Ouellette, Amanda Daniel Atkins and Jesse Daniel; great-grandchildren Javon Daniel, Rene Ouellette and Jacob Ouellette; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside committal prayers will be offered at Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. (Kennebec Journal 7/21/2011)
