Sometime after Arvilla's husband died, she and Webb Tarbush, (full name Daniel Webster Tarbush) (whose wife, Lizzie, had been suffering a mental breakdown and was institutionalized in the state hospital in Milledgeville), began a relationship. The divorce laws at that did not permit divorce from an institutionalized spouse.....so they became long time companions and he moved into her house. Lizzie died in 1953.....at which time they could have married....but the niece doesn't recall that being the case. Then by the time they both died in 1956, (he in June and she in July), she was living back in either Aragon or Rockmart, and he was in the Atlanta area. My informant doesn't recall at what point they "separated".
