"Claude O. Barker Funeral Today
Funeral services for Claude Owen Barker, 53, who died Sunday evening at his home in the Tidwell Community, will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Tidwell Baptist Church.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Weldon Drake and Rev. Fred Moore.
Pallbearers will be: Eugene Moss, Jim Lamm, A. E. Vittetoe, J. D. Pearce, Bill Bennett and G. A. Jenkins.
Arrangements are in charge of James-Coker-Peters Funeral Home.
The body will rest at his family home in the Tidwell Community until shortly before the hour of the service.
Death came to Mr. Barker at 5:10 p.m. Sunday after an illness of several months.
Mr. Barker was born on March 27, 1901, the son of Rufus Barker and Sarah Jane Barker. Following the death of his first wife, Nellie Dickson, in 1930, he was married to Lillie B. McWhorter.
He was a member of the Tidwell Baptist Church.
