Services for Mrs. Rosa Digilormo, 80, of 1241 Wells Island Road, will be held Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Msgr. John C. Vandegaer, the pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery under direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mrs. Digilormo died Monday at 12:10 a.m. in Schumpert Santarium after a long illness. A native of Cefalu, Italy, she had lived in Shreveport for the past 42 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include eight sons, Nick, Sam, Johnny, Tom, Dominick, Tony and Joe Digilormo, all of Shreveport., and Carlo Digilormo of Powhatan; four daughters Mrs. Jennie Leone of Powhatan, Mrs. Camille Tombrello, Mrs. Mary Stephens, and Miss Elizabeth Digilormo, all of Shreveport; one brother, Joe Lewis of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brewster of Shreveport and Mrs. Josephine Digilormo of Kansas City, Mo.; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dominick Digilormo, Dominick Digilormo, Jr. Nick Digilormo, E.K. Treadway, Sam Leone and Tony Leone.

She was born Rosa D'Aloisio in Salaparuta, Province of Trapani, Sicily. I had always heard that she was born in Cefalu, but that information is not correct.
She came to the United States with her mother and baby sister, Josephine, on a passenger ship on April 20, 1891.
