Newspaper article obtained from the State Historical Society:
Oskaloosa Herald (Oskaloosa, IA) 8 August 1903
Catherine Anne Almond was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, March 19, 1836, died at Union Mills, Iowa, August 1, 1903, at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to Zachariah Almond, January 3, 1854. To them ten children were born--seven sons and three daughters--six of whom survive her. Rev. O'Conner, of this city, conducted the funeral services at Union Mills, Sunday afternoon, August 2nd.

In the article above the marriage date is wrong. She was married in 1853 according to her marriage license. She was the daughter of Lewis & Mary Elizabeth Jones Enfield; mother of John Wesley, Mary Jane, Ida Mae, Alice, George, Loren, Levi and Samuel Almond and sister to; Richard, John George, Mary Elizabeth, Barbara, Charity, Sarah, Amanda and Miranda Enfield.

While all sources say she is buried at Union Mills Cemetery there is no stone and no record of it. It appears she and her husband were probably buried in the plot of a relative but unknown at this time exactly where.
