Robert C. Bassler, 77, of Louisville, died Friday at Norton Hospital.
He was a retired supervisor for Bell South, where he worked for 38 years. He served as a Corporal for the US Army in World War II and Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Andrew United Church of Christ, VFW post 5636 and Bell South Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Evelyn Bassler; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Marjorie Bassler and Craig and Debbie Bassler; and grandchildren, Laura and David Bassler.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at St. Andrew United Church of Christ, 2608 Browns Lane. Burial: Resthaven. Visitation from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd.
