SUE JOHNSON
Sue Wulfjen Johnson, 92, of 3133 S. 16th died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday at the Happy Haven Nursing Home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery at McAllen, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 512 Hickory.
Born Aug. 28, 1884, in Seven Wells, she married Raymond Johnson in 1901 in Colorado City. They lived in Pharr from 1924 to 1937. She moved to Colorado City in 1937 when her husband died. She lived in Colorado City until 1970 when she moved to Beaumont, finally moving to Abilene May 1976. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include a son, J. Raymond (Jimmy) of 3193 S. 16th; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Gilbert of Beaumont; two brothers, Walter Wulfjen of el Paso and Fred Wulfjen of South Carolina; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Laura Elmore, died in 1975.
