Maria Marissa is survived by her loving husband, Jaime Saenz, her daughters Yelitza and Yeritza, her parents Javier and Maria Eva Riojas, her sister, Maria Yvonne Riojas Muhammad.
She married Jaime Saenz on June 16, 1996. She was a wonderful caring mother of two beautiful girls, Yelitza Tibisai, 13 years old and Yeritza Tisaireli, 11 years old.
She was a graduate of Roma High School, 1990. She received her Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas Pan American in 1994 in Edinburg, Texas. She was a Special Education Homebound Teacher with the Roma Independent School District.
She was an excellent educator caring much for all her students and willing to help coworkers. Marissa was a passionate outdoor adventurer and animal lover. She enjoyed being in the outdoors especially at the ranch spending quality time with her husband and daughters.
The Burial Mass took place on Monday, July 18, 2011 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Roma. Burial followed at Escobares Cemetery in Escobares, Texas.
Marissa touched many of our lives and souls, and her presence in our life is a gift we will forever treasure in our hearts.
