Meryl F. Eriksson of Fort Myers Beach, FL and Boutwell's Landing, Oak Park Hts, MN passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2005 after a brief illness. She was born September 6, 1920 in Winnipeg Manitoba and lived in Florida since 1971 before moving to Minnesota in June after the death of her husband, Vern. Meryl received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba in 1941 in the first class that included women. In September 1942, she married her high school sweetheart, Norm Krolman, and was widowed in May, 1944 on his death in WWII. Norm's fellow officer, Vern, met Meryl when his regiment returned from the war. Married September 3, 1949 at Mackinac Island, Vern and Meryl celebrated life, together, for 56 years. Meryl's passion was caring for people, many of whom became lifelong friends. She had a gift for encouragement, bringing out the best in those around her. She taught us all that in every situation "God has a perfect plan."
