Sister received her first mission assignment to Hansen Home, Jamaica, W.I. on March 30, 1954 where she worked for the next five years mostly working in the laboratory.
In 1959, Sister Viola had to return Stateside for health reasons and resided in Framingham, MA. It was there that Sister began physical and occupational therapy by beginning to work in ceramics. Sister gave many years of community service in various communities especially in the field of Finances. In March of 2005, Sr. Viola moved to Marillac Residence in Wellesley, MA. Failing health once again and needing more individual care, Sister moved to Seton Residence on April 26, 2010. Sister Viola died on –Thursday, July 7th, 2011 at Elizabeth Seton Residence, Wellesley, MA.
Sister and her welcoming smile will be greatly missed by her family, nieces and nephews, her Marist family and so many friends.
