OBIT:

Fern F. Haberman, 81, Rt. 5, Box 870, died Friday at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital. She was born in Ellensburg, June 13, 1898, a daughter of the late George and Maude Charlton. She received her teacher credentials from Ellensburg Normal School and taught in the Nanum and Edgement-Thrall rural schools. She also taught in Cle Elum in the Okanogan area and at Ellensburg High School. She and John Haberman were married on December 27, 1926.

Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons, Jack Haberman of Ellensburg, Dr. James Haberman of Seattle, Pat Haberman of St. Helena, California, and Mike Haberman of Spokane; one daughter, Sylvia Haberman of Renton; five grandchildren; and one brother, Bob Charlton of Ellensburg.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Evenson Chapel. The Rev. Seamus Kee will officiate and burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the St. Andrews Building Fund.
