Greensboro, Guilford Co., NC—Friday, 15 June 1928
ROWLAND, June 14—Alexander Alford, prominent farmer of this community, died at his home this morning at 6:15 o'clock after a brief illness.
Mr. Alford was 69 years old and was an elder in the Ashpole Presbyterian church for many years.
He is survived by the following three brothers: John, Chancey and S.A. Alford, all of Florida; two sons, Carl A., of this place, and Hugh Paisley Alford, of Warren, O.; two daughters, Miss Alexa Alford and Mrs. J.F. Bullock, of Rowland.
Interment will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the Ashpole cemetery.
