My Great-Great-Aunt. Chita was born Maria Concepcion Pacheco February 26, 1925 in Veracruz, Mexico to Rodrigo Lorenzo Pacheco and Concepcion Rodriguez. She immigrated to New Orleans from Mexico in 1927. She married Thomas William Dawes. She and Tom were married for many years until his passing in 2008. She had 2 children Renee Susan Labord (1952-) and Craig Richard Labord (1955-1972) from her first marriage to Henry Labord. Chita resided for many years in Grants Pass, Oregon until she moved to Pasadena, California in 2008. She was a loving woman and will be missed dearly. Chita passed away peacefully at her daughters home on June 11, 2011 at the age of 86. She was cremated and her ashes are with her daughter.
