Harris B. Griffith, 90, of Leon Junction, went to be with the Lord May 2, 2012. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 5, at 1:00 p.m., at The First Baptist Church of Flat with Pastor Lance King officiating.
Harris was born June 5, 1921 in Caradan, TX to the late Chas and Stella Griffith. He attended school in Mills County. He married Nell Leatherwood in 1948. He resided in Leon Junction since 1982. Harris was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flat. Harris served his country for 7 years in the Navy. He retired from the Gulf Oil Company after 35 years of employment.
Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Griffith.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Griffith of New Iberia, LA, and Donald Griffith and wife Carole of Leon Junction; daughter Sheril Lawler of Leon Junction; five grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
