Retired carburetor plant worker Gladys Mae Cox, 88, of Paris died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at her residence.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Randy Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery at Buchanan.

Selected as pallbearers are Glenn Jones, Dale Campbell, Chad and Jeremy Cox and Brian and Brad Rogers.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Born Feb. 2, 1923, in Almo, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Lawson and Lucy Holt Fennell.

She retired from Holley carburetor plant after 16 years and was a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ.

She leaves one daughter: Shirley Mae (Leon) Rogers of Buchanan; one son: Don (Judy) Cox of Puryear; one sister: Betty Goad of Detroit; one sister-in-law: Linda Lou Fennell of Dexter, Ky.;

Four grandchildren: Brian (Joannah) Rogers and Chad (Maria) Cox, both of Puryear, Brad (Mandy) Rogers of Buchanan and Jeremy (Kasey) Cox of Springville;

Eight great-grandchildren: Avery, Rush and Makenzy Cox and Garrett, Elaina, Maddie, Parker and Julia Rogers; special friends, who were caregivers: Tammy Wood, Rebecca Raymer, Anna Parker, Lori Boyd, Carol McCuiston, Connie Hollingsworth and Angie Thornton; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by three sisters: Lorene Lovett, Louise Carr and Carlene Williams; and two brothers: Paul and Homer Fennell.
