Wiley A. Adams, 76, of Alamogordo, died Friday in Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1913 in Stigler, Okla., and had resided in Alamogordo for the past 14 months. He resided in Silver City prior to that. Mr. Adams was retired from road construction and was an oiler in that field. Calling hours will be from 4-7 this evening in Baca's Hillcrest Funeral Chapels. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 in Memory Lane Cemetery with Mancel Mortensen officiating. Survivors include his wife, Avon Adams of Alamogordo; two sons, Wiley O. Buck Adams and his wife, Patsy of Silve City, and Lynne R. Jack Judah and his wife, Linda of Enterprise, Ala.; a daughter, Daphna D. Gonzales and her husband, Carmen of Santa Fe; a brother, Robert Adams and his wife, Chloma of Abernathy, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Kimberley Adams Vendrely and her husband, Mike of Gila, Todd A. Adams of Las Cruces, Kamara Adams Cometti and her husband, Doug of Las Cruces and Jackie Judah Watley and her husband, Robert, and Kathy, Maria and Jerry Judah all of Enterprise, Johnny Gonzales of Albuquerque, Julie, Mark and Dean Gonzales all of Santa Fe, and Carrie Gonzales Lopez and her husband, Eddie of Pueblo, Colo.; 10 great-grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler, Brogan and Paden Vendrely of Gila, Todd A. Adams Jr. of Silver City, Valerie, Jessica and John Patrick Gonzales of Albuquerque, and Niccollo and Loren Lopez of Pueblo; a niece, Carol Jean Richardson of Lubbock, Texas; and a nephew, Ricky Adams of Plano, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Freeman and Lavada Adams, and a daughter, Trixie LaDean Adams. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Hillcrest Funeral Chapels.
