Destiny Marie Adkins

Destiny Marie, Adkins, of Troy, Mo., passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., after a brief illness, at the age of 17 years, 4 months and 13 days.
Destiny was born to Mike and Christina (nee-Adkins) Richardson on December 30, 1993 in St. Charles, Mo.
She was a junior at Troy Buchanan High School in Troy, Mo. She had a strong committment to her family and enjoyed helped her grandfather, Clifford, on the farm. She also helped at a local animal shelter. She had a great appreciation of wolves and desire to learn about them.
Survivors include her grandfather, Clifford Adkins and fiance, Kathy Dailey, of Troy, Mo., her parents, Mike and Christina Richardson, of Troy, Mo., one sister, Lexus Richardson of Troy, Mo., two special uncles and aunts; David and Tona Adkins of Warrenton, Mo., and Clifford and Sherry Adkins, Jr., of Troy, Mo., special cousin, Davey Adkins, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cathy Adkins and her great-grandfather, Jerry Adkins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, Mo. 63383. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Central Grove Methodist Cemetery in Truxton, Mo.
