Daisy Olive HERITAGE was one of 4 children born to John Douglas HERITAGE and Sarah Adelaide DAVIS. She was born in Pleasant Mound Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota where the family were living at the time. When Daisy was a young woman around 20 years of age she lost her hearing as a result of complications from an illness. She would often take a companion with her when she traveled to help her navigate as a hearing impaired person.

Daisy was married only once to Wallace Wilford D'AOUST Sr. about 1902. They had one son Gilbert Wallace D'AOUST. They were later divorced.

After the divorce her former husband Wallace Wilford D'AOUST Sr. was married a 2nd time to Esther Marie BUSSELMAN and she had 2 sons: Wallace Wilford D'AOUST Jr. who was killed in World War II in the Netherlands and James D'AOUST. Wallace Wilford D'AOUST remained in Minnesota with his 2nd wife and their 2 sons.

Daisy moved to Pasadena, California with her son Gilbert Wallace D'AOUST and lived there until her death.

Her son was a police officer with the Pasadena Police Department.
