Richard Lee Baxter, 53, died April 21, 2000 in a Salt Lake hospital of heart failure.

Born July 25, 1946 in Manhattan Beach, California to John Woodrow and Tonola Opal Fetcher Baxter. In 1973 he married Robyn Evans in Sandy, Utah; they later divorced. Richard married Susann Kosovich in Sandy, Utah on July 2, 1977. Richard was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. His hobbies included restoring 'hot rod' cars and building scale model cars. He was co-owner and manager of Grandma's Tires. Richard had a memorable laugh and a fun personality which helped endear him to his many friends.

Survivors: wife of 23 years, Susann (Soozi); children, Stephanie (Ryan), Kristy, John, all Sandy; grandchildren, Brooke and Caitlyn; mother, Opal; brother, Walt, all Sandy.

Services will be Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State where friends may call Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
