Frank Velpel 58, of 1509 W. Virginia Ave died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Hospital where he had been admitted Saturday afternoon.
A bookkeeper for J. Cohen and Son for 32 years, he was born May 15, 1919 in Peoria, the son of Frank and Eva Royster Velpel.He married Rosemary E. Weisbruch September 28, 1940 in Peoria. She survives.
He was a member of Timber Lake Country Club, and a veteran of World War II.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Gerald and Richard, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Maxine Powers, and a brother Edward both of Peoria.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Wilton Mortuary with the Rev Joseph I. Gerber officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
