Daniel D. Osmun (1800-1859) is thought to be the grandson of (Sergeant) John Osmun, who served in (Colonel) John Lamb's Continental Artillery Regiment, but proof is lacking.

Isaac Osman and (Pvt.) Israel Osman were taken prisoner.
(Pvt.) Isaac Osman (1738-1778) and (Pvt.) Israel Osman (1736-1778) died of disease or starvation at the old "Sugar House Prison" in New York City, where they were being held as prisoners of war.
