Walter was a long-time employee of Burrough's and a realtor for more than 20 years. A professional photographer, Walter was responsible for documenting the "life and times" of his immediate family as well as his mother's family, the latter of whom resided in Elko, Nevada (photos dating from the very early 1900's through the late 1970's). Walter was a 50+ year Mason and Scotish Rite member and enjoyed every opportunity to "show off" his granddaughters at member events. Walter was known as Cookie Papa to many - a name he was given by his granddaughter Jacquelyn, in the summer of 1961, because with each visit to his daughter's home, Walter always (without fail) brought cookies - initially dubbed "The Cookie Papa".
