Dasel "Dick" Arney, 73, of 6470 S. Fairfax Road, died Sunday at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Born Feb. 22, 1908, in Monroe County, he was the son of Charles and Marge (East) Arney. He was retired from Indiana University, and was a member of Sanders Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Maudia (Clark) Arney; two daughters, Alberta Lashbrook of Monrovia, and Colleen Craig of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Sylvia Duncan and Zelthie Sowders, both of Bloomington; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders Pentecostal Church, with Revs. Russell Nelson and W. S. Craig officiating. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, and for one hour preceding the service Wednesday at the church.
