He was born May 26, 1943, at Idaho Falls, the son of Ray and Cora May Sorenson Corbit. He was raised in Idaho Falls and attended local schools and completed his high school at Ukiah, Calif. In 1962 he returned to Idaho Falls and worked at construction and as a truck driver. His last residence was at Twin Falls where he worked for Ross Wells Trucking Firm.
Mr. Corbit is survived by his widow, Connie; children, James Ira Corbit Jr., David Corbit and Steven Corbit; the following sisters: Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Ecker, Ft. Hood, Tx., Mrs. Floyd (Grace) Blackburn, Price, Utah; Mrs. Donald (Eva) Cox, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Edward (Dorothy) Brophy, Salt Lake city, Utah; Mrs. Bruce (Barbara) Healy, Boise, ID; two brothers: Ray A. Corbit, San Miguel, calif., and Vincent (Bob) Corbit, Idaho Falls; two step-children, Sylvia and Kathy.
