This is my Aunt Minnie. She was my grandpa's sister. She came with her family to the U.S. in about 1883.

She was raised on a farm in Livingston County, Illinois.

Before her marriage she worked for a wealthy family as a housekeeper/servant in Pontiac, Illinois. She married August Ehlers on February 26th, 1903. After her marriage to August, they farmed in the Cullom, Illinois area. Together they had 4 children: Glenn, Raymond, Vera, and Ruth.

She was a member of the Methodist Church. Her husband August died on December 11, 1950.

She died at the Gibson City (Illinois) Convalescent Center after an extended illness.

Rest in peace Aunt Minnie.
