JOHN AELLIG
FAIRBURY - John E. Aellig, 79, of Manteno, and formerly of Forrest and Strawn, died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday at Americana Nursing Home, Kankakee, where he had been a patient several days.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Manteno, with the Rev. C. William Zander officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Cullom.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Gordon and Sexton Funeral Home, Manento.
Mr. Aellig was born June 15, 1894, in Strawn, a son of John W. and Mary Gosteli Aellig. He married Ruth McCormack on Dec 27, 1915, who preceded him in death in 1922. He then married Ethel Botkin April 16, 1923, in Forest. She died in 1972.
Surviving are two sons, a brother, three sisters, and five grandchildren.
