ALBANY LEDGER, THURSDAY, MAY 22, 1924

DEATH: Death came suddendly to E, P. Abington, 50 years old, Monday afternoon
at the home of his daughter, Mrs.: Orville S. Parman, on Stapleton Avenue.
Mr Abington had not been in robust health since a serious attack more than three years
ago, 'when His life séemed to hang! in the balance for several weeks, but had
been able to work some since. He had not been working for several weeks,
but had kept. rather close too home. The cause of his sickness was leakage of the heart.

Monday afternoon Mrs: Parman and the children and the father were at home.
Mr. Abington was sitting in a rocker and his daughter had been in and out
of the room. After a short absence she returned to the room and found her father lifeless.
Death apparently came painlessly.

The body was taken to St. Josebh, this morning accompanied by the family and
will bé taken to the Stingley fimeral home. Services will be held there this afternoon,
conducted by Rev. C. Bridenthal, pastor of the Christian church, and burial
be at the Mt. Alburn cemetery there.

Mz. Abington had been a resident of Albany about 15 years. He was born
at Pendleton,Mo., 60 years ago. When a young man he started railroading, and for many years had been
an efficient engineer on the Burlington. He was married to Miss Betty
Mays, who died 6 years ago. Three children were born to them, all of whom are
living, Mrs. Bessie Parman and Edward of Albany, and Mrs. Helen Garwood,
of Carroll, Neb. An aged mother, 3 brothers and 1 sister also survive him.
