David Allen Forsberg was born August 18, 1937, in Appleton, Minnesota, to parents Harold and Bernice (Stehn) Forsberg. He was the second of four children born to Harold and Bea.



He moved with his family to Bremerton, Washington, where his father worked in the Navy Shipyards during WW II. When his father was inducted into the Army Air Force and was sent to Austria, David and his family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for six months and then to his grandparent's (Otto and Edna Stehn) farm near Holloway, Minnesota, for six months.

Following the war, David moved with his family to Appleton.

 David was in two different schools before he moved to the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Yellow Medicine Co., Minnesota, in 1970, where he remained the rest of his life.

 He passed away at the Care Center on Sunday, July 23, 2006, at the age of 68 years, 11 months, and 5 days.



David was survived by his mother, Bernice (Bea) Forsberg of Clarkfield; and his three siblings: Janice, Alan, and Ann; as well as by extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father Harold (Swede) Forsberg in 1983.


Funeral services for David A. Forsberg were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 26 July 2006, at the United Methodist Church, Montevideo, Minnesota, with Rev. Dee Lundberg officiating. He was interred at the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton, Swift Co., Minnesota. Arrangements were made by Lynner Funeral Home of Clarkfield, Minnesota.
