Sadly on 01/18/2009 Robert Griner went out to his barn, shot and killed his horse "Andy" and then turned his gun on himself.
Officer Griner was also a veteran of the United States Army and attained the rank of ARMY SPECIALIST Grade 5, from 01/01/1955 to 02/01/1961.
At the time of his passing there was a direct cremation and his remains were immediately interned at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with out any services.
