He and Fanny also had six children together: Eli (Born in Highland County), Becky (born in Tippecanoe, Indiana) and Susie, Maggie, Riley and Ellen (born in Washington County, Iowa).
Fanny and Ephraim acquired land in English River, Iowa in 1842, which they farmed together for 37 years as they raised the children.
Ephraim died in English River on 21 Oct 1879. Fanny lived until 1899.
