Mary A. Toliver, 70, of Malta Bend, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Jack & Mary Toliver Scholarship Fund or Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born April 4, 1941, in Nowata, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Grace Howerton Hutcherson. On Feb. 20, 1960, she married Jack L. Toliver who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 2010. She had lived in Malta Bend most of her life and worked for Sweet Springs Care Center, The Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia and retired as Saline County Public Administrator. She was a member of Central League Association of Social Services, Social Service Association of Missouri serving as past president, Missouri Association of Public Administrators, Saline County Democrat Club, Jefferson Women's Democratic Club of Saline County, Mid-Day Optimist Club and The Red Hat Society.

Survivors include five children, Jackie (Buzz) Toliver, DeAnn Malan and her husband, Dale, all of rural Malta Bend, Rick Toliver and his wife, Valerie, of rural Marshall, Bryan Toliver and his wife, Laura, of Paola, Kan., and Lynne Snyder and her husband, Barry, of rural New Franklin; nine grandchildren, Ginger Commerford, Jacqueline Walker, Lauren Reid, Josh Toliver, Trent Toliver, Blake Toliver, Brock Toliver, Hillary Snyder and Ty Snyder; and one great-granddaughter, Elena Reid; two brothers, Bobby Hutcherson and Willie Hutcherson; one sister, Debbie Kiser; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, L.W. (Bill) Hutcherson, and one brother, Doug Hutcherson.
