John is survived by his wife, Epifania Maldonado-Girón and his children, James García and Patty Cortez, Valerie Girón, and Rodrigo Morales, three granddaughters, Savannah López, Brandy López and Evangelina Jaramillo and grandson, Adrian Trujillo. His is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Esther Ebler, Paul Benavídez, Terry Ybarra, George Girón, Ernestine Apodaca, Beatrice Nedar, Frances Girón and Nancy Martínez.
John will be missed by his wife and family.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the García Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be recited onWednesday at 7:00 p.m. also in the García Chapel. A Communion Service will be offered on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fé National Cemetery in Santa Fé, NM. Pallbearers will be Sam Ortiz, Lawrence García, Mark Maldonado, Ronald Jaramillo, Lawrence Pacheco and Damian Girón. Honorary Pallbearer will be Joe Apodaca.
