Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Gómez, parents, Leandro and Rosa Lucero, brothers, Frank Lucero, Tony Lucero and Benny Lucero and grandfather, Francisco M. Lucero.
Connie was active in helping at the community center in El Rancho. Connie loved to sing and write poetry. Connie had a great personality and loved to make people laugh.
Connie is survived by two brothers, Leandro Lucero Jr. and his wife, Mela of San Antonio, NM and Joe T. Lucero and his companion, Julia Martínez of El Rancho. Connie was also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Devotional Service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at
Sangre de Cristo Chapel, DeVargas Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2007 at San Antonio Catholic Church in El Rancho, New Mexico. Burial will follow at Santa Fé Naitonal Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM.
