Bernardita "Bernie" V. Gómez, age 90, passed away on June 2, 2011.
Bernie is survived by her children, Ernest Gómez , Orlando Gómez, Janet Hildreth and her husband, Brent, Anthony Gómez and Richard Gómez, grandchildren, Anthony Gómez Jr, Stephanie Gómez, Lisa Gómez, Mario Gómez and his wife, Nancy, Jonathan Gómez, David Gómez and his wife, Amy, Michael Hildreth, Katherine Gómez and Arlene Velásquez and great grandchildren, Averiella, Gabriel and Janessa.
Bernie is also survived by her siblings, Albert Villareal, Sophie Naranjo and her husband, Frank, Mercy Villareal and his wife, Clarabelle, Lucy Deesing and her husband Roy, Gilbert Villareal and Sister Mary Louise and many other family and friends.
Bernie was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto and her parents, Santiago and Elena Villareal.
Bernie was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Bernie worked for many years at Montgomery Wards in Albuquerque.
A Rosary will be recited on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at French - Westside location. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Santa María de La Paz Catholic Church, 11 College Ave., Santa Fé, NM with burial to follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery. Friends may visit on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at French - Westside.
