ABINGDON -- Donna M. Boone, 58, of 201 W. Sanitary died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 1995, at her residence. Born April 23, 1937, in Monmouth to Charles and Dorothy Tinder McKee, she married Richard L. Boone on Aug. 26, 1955, in Abingdon. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Bill of McLean; two daughters, Lorna Melvin of Galesburg and Beth Boone Carlson of Bloomington; and four grandchildren. One infant daughter, Brenda Marie Boone, and one brother preceded her in death. She worked at the former Blue Bell Manufacturing Co. and Birds Reliable Insurance Agency. She later worked at Boone's Tax & Bookkeeping with her husband. She was a member of Abingdon Christian Church. She was a former Girl Scout leader. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hinchliff-Pearson- West Abingdon Chapel. The Rev. Raymond McLaren will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church or to the American Diabetes Association.
