When I think of my grandfather so many things pop into my head... He used to dress up as Santa for all the Christmas parties at the Knights... He loved the Civil War, and took great pride in the GAR Building he ran and all of it's memorabilia... He loved his family more than anything..
He was big man with a big heart, and a sense of humor that not all understood... He used to tell me how much he wished he'd be there to watch me walk down the aisle.. And I'd tell him " Grampa you're crazy.. of course you'll be there" He didn't make it though.. He died right before my wedding.. I wanted more than anything for him to be there, and I know in a way he was..
