Van John Domingues was the third child of Ory Polycarp Domingues and Remy Trosclair-Domingues. He was born on 28 June 1932 and passed on 11 July 2005 at the age of 73 in Vidor, Orange County, Texas. He is buried in Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Harris County, Texas in section N3 Site 469. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict in the US Army.

He lived in Lafayette and had two children, Shane Domingues and Twyla Domingues.

His eldest brother was Walter Joseph Domingues (1926-2005. #6709418) who owned a store named, “Walter’s Liquor” on 2nd Street in Freeport, Brazoria, Texas and Van was an employee and helper to his brother.

He also lived in Freeport, Brazoria County and then in Vidor, Orange, Texas with his sister, Ethel Marie Domingues-Bruening (1929-2016. #166575560) and her husband, Howard Charles Bruening (1929-1998 #80766124)

The couple had three children, Howard Charles Bruening Jr, David Bruening and Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Bruening (1954-2009 @ 54. #33161810) who lived in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
David’s Children are Van’s nephews. They are Jacob and Daniel Bruening of Vidor, Orange County, Texas.

His baby sister, Beatrice “Bea” Domingues-Magnon lived in Houston, was married to Jules “Lee” Magnon. She passed in 1974 and left two children to mourn him.
