Bessie was my grandma. She was born in TN, but lived much of her life in Los Angeles. She had 8 children, but only 3 lived to adulthood, the oldest of which was my father, Charles Hensley.

Bessie was a plant and animal lover. She especially loved dogs. She grew lots of flowers in her small yard.
She was a kind person and an indulgent grandma. She is very much missed.
