Jefferson City News-Tribune (MO) - Tuesday, August 16, 2005:

Adell Frances Clark, 83, of Hemet, California, passed on to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 7, 2005, under Hospice care. Adell was born September 24, 1921, in Wardsville, Missouri, the daughter of Otto and Nora Mueller, who preceded her in death. She was married to Ralph D. Clark for 43 years. He preceded her in death in 1984.

Adell grew up in Wardsville, Missouri and attended Immaculate Conception school in Jefferson City, Missouri. In 1956, Adell and her husband sold their Clark's Drive-in Restaurant in California, Missouri and moved their family to San Diego, Calif., where they lived for many years. They also lived in Covina, Calif. and then eventually, retiring in Hemet, Calif. Adell retired from San Diego Schools Food Services as a Manager.

In her later years, Adell moved back and lived in Jefferson City, Mo. for a while, and then, on to her lovely little home on the hill in Ethel, Mo. In 2001, she came back to Hemet to be closer to her immediate family, due to ill health.

Adell was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Hemet, Calif. She was active in the Alter Guild Society and the Crafters. She was also very active with the Alter Guild at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Hemet. Adell was an excellent cook, but she was known far and wide for her pies. She loved to quilt, and tend to her garden and flowers. Most of all, Adell loved to be with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by five sisters and one brother; Catherine Siebeneck, Ruth Mertens, Wardsville, Mo., Julie Weber, Nora Lee Conrad, Margie Brondel, Jefferson City, Mo., and Gilbert Mueller, Lake Charles, La. One brother, Eddie Mueller, Jefferson City, Mo., preceded her in death. Ardell is survived by her five children, Ralph Clark, Claremont, Calif., David Clark, Young, Ariz., Ellen Elsele, Alta Loma, Calif., Deborah Waggoner, Yucca Valley, Calif., Larry Clark, Hemet, Calif., and 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 26340 Soboba St., Hemet, Calif., with Rev. Silvio D'ostilio officiating. She will be interned next to her husband at Riverside National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on August 19, at Miller Jones Mortuary, 1501 W. Florida Ave., Hemet, Calif. A Rosary prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. Memorial suggestions are to: Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Hemet, Calif. Building Fund and "Food for the Poor Catholic Charity".
