Door County Advocate 2 Dec 1880 ----Mrs. Martin Dehos and infant child, who we reported very ill with diptheria in our last issue, both died on Saturday, November 27. Mrs. Dehos was a daughter of John Mann, of Nasewaupee, and was married less than a year at the time of her demise. Her bereaved husband and parents have the symphathy of all in their sore affliction. Mother and infant were buried in the above-named cemetery [that is, the Nasewaupee town cemetery] Monday afternoon, a large number of friends from both side of the bay being in attendance. The funeral took place from Jacob Dehos' residence.
