Vivian "BeBe" Smith Gumm, 84, of New Albany, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was born in New Albany on Jan. 28, 1922, to Percel and Sarah Mae Richardson Smith.
Survivors include eight nieces; one nephew, several great-and great-great nieces and nephews; and friends Ronald and LaVerne Peay, Jackie Downs, and Charlotte "Shotty" Bitner, who helped care for her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Smith and Roy Gumm; her parents; a sister, Clara Samples; and a brother, Thomas Stafford.
Cremation was chosen.
The Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Southern Indiana.
