Mrs. Bartley was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of Louis Bartley. She was married in Congregation Beth El where she was a lifelong member. She was active in the Temple Sisterhood, Haddassa, the National Council of Jewish Women, and other religious and civic organizations. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Norfolk General Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue B. Myers of Norfolk; her son, Dr. Richard S. Bartley of Virginia Beach; her brother, Dr. Edward Myers of Norfolk; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kay B. Greenberg.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. The family will recieve friends today and Wednesday at 7338 Barberry Lane in Norfolk, 23505. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
