Mrs. Elizabeth Merkel, aged 70 years, widow of the late Charles Merkel, passed away at her home in Covington June 19, 1935, following a short illness.
Mrs. Merkel was the daughter of the late Balsar and Kunigunda Kobinger, former residents of Pendleton County.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday in Covington with a requiem high mass being sung at Mother of God Church. Burial took place in Mother of God Cemetery.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Theresa Pfeiffer; one brother, David Kobinger, and one granddaughter.
