William W. Fiedler, age 84, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away on July 10, 2008 at Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro.
He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and a graduate of Harvard Class of 1947. He earned his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1952. Mr. Fiedler was a former member of the Willingboro School Board, a past member of Contact Burlington County, a longtime member of the Willingboro Rotary - he was president 1975-1976, a Paul Harris Fellow. In 1975, with Bud Umbaugh, he persuaded the club to rescue the "Give A Christmas Project". He was a champion to get women into Rotary. He was a resident of Willingboro, NJ since 1958.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years: Helena (nee: Darcy), two sons: Mark and Court Fiedler, four daughters: Karen Fiedler, Judith LeHuquet, Lorretta Jackson, Mary Muldoon, two grandsons: Ian Druid and Jack Fiedler, three sisters: Marion Laverty, Claire Guay, and Arlene Lindquist, other relatives and friends.
Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 10 AM, at the Corpus Christi RC Church, Sunset and Charleston Rds., Willingboro, NJ. Relatives and friends may call Thursday evening 7-9 PM at the GOES-SCOLIERI FUNERAL HOME, 212 Levitt Pkwy, Willingboro, NJ. (609) 871-1000. Please gather Friday directly at church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the Fiedler family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Willingboro Rotary Club, Give A Christmas Project, PO Box 75, Willingboro, NJ 08046 in his memory.
