Dorothy Edna Hunter, 84, Denver, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, July 30 at her home. Born to William and Relia Worden Shackelford in Tipton December 19, 1914, she married Justus G. Hunter in Biloxi, Miss., on July 5, 1945, He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1970. She served as a WAC in World War II, and was a retired press operator. She also worked for the General Tire Corp., Wasbash. Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Adkins, Denver; two grandchildren, Jeff King, Denver; Lee Ann Litton, Denver; five great-grandchildren, Ariel King, Nichole Stevens, Dakota Lashay Litton, Scott Michael Litton and Nathan King. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Daniel Brent Hunter; three sisters, Stella Moon, Ethel Barley and Marie Deardorff; and brothers, Ora, James, Leslie, Fay and Everett Shackelford.
