Alma S. Anderson, 96, 1 Heidleburg Road, Wernersville, previously of Centre Turnpike, Orwigsburg, died Saturday, June 7 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center, Wernersville. Born May 22,1907 in Orwigsburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Nora Heister Trout. She was a 1929 graduate of the Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing and a 1955 graduate of Kutztown College. She was a registered nurse working for the Blue Mountain School District for many years, prior to retiring. A life-long member of St John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg. Mrs Anderson was a Sunday School teacher, member of consistory, the Ladies' Guild, quilters' group and was active in all functions of the church for many years, until her health failed. She was also a member of the Eastern Star #424, Orwigsburg. Her first husband, John M. Aregood, died in 1956; her second husband David W. Anderson, died December 10,1989. Services were held Monday, June 9 from St. John's United Church of Christ, Orwigsburg, with the Rev. Barbara Kershner officiating. Burial was made in Salem Evangelical Cemetery, Orwigsburg. Donations in her memory may be made to St. John's UCC, 236 E. Market St. Orwigsburg, Pa.17961.
